The person
behind the work

welcome →

During the early days of the pandemic, I started studying design on my own, purely out of curiosity. What began as a personal exploration quickly became a full creative and professional practice, one that has kept me rooted in the public sector ever since. As I took on design projects within San Diego County, I pursued formal training and internships along the way, always staying connected to the civic context where I first discovered what design could do.

What keeps me here is impact I can actually see. The communities I design for are my community, and when a campaign reaches a young person in their own language, when a reference guide helps someone navigate a crisis, when a training initiative moves an institution closer to equity, that goes beyond a deliverable. I care about making complex public systems simpler and easier to navigate, because I know firsthand how much it means when people can actually reach the services they need.

I bring a rare combination of research rigor, visual design craft, and deep familiarity with how government systems work from the inside. I'm bilingual, bicultural, and genuinely committed to equity-centered practice. And I'm always learning, because improving my craft genuinely brings me joy and reignites my commitment to the work I do.
